\(\displaystyle (2\sqrt{3} )^2 \, = \, 2^2 \cdot (\sqrt{3})^2\)

I suppose you need to evaluate:

\(\displaystyle (2\sqrt{3} \, + \, \sqrt{5})\cdot (2\sqrt{3} \, - \, \sqrt{5})\)

then use

\(\displaystyle (a + b)\cdot (a-b) \, = \, a^2 \, - \, b^2\)

ok so how would i write it

(2 sqrt 3)^2 times (sqrt 5)^2

(4 x 3) - (5)

12-5

7

??
