does this look right?

2x + 5 sqrt x = 0
5 sqrt x = -2x

(5 sqrt x) ^2 = (-2x) ^2

25x = 4x^2

0+ 4x^2 - 25x

0 = x(4x - 25)

x = 0 or 0 = 4x - 25
divide by 4x by 4 and -25 by 4

x = 25/4

Plug your answers back into the original equation. Do they both work? One does not.
