This might not be prealgebra but I am not sure how to solve this problem.

Can someone explain what you must do to get the answer to these type of questions?

Try the forumla d=rt. Meaning, distance equals rate times time. So 50 = (141.5476)(t). Divide 141.5476 on both sides. 50 divide 141.5476 should give you the answer in hours.
 
Since you already got the answer to the nearest hundreth, I figured I would just add on for posterity...

\(\displaystyle time = \frac{distance}{rate} = \frac{50mi}{141.5476mph} = 0.353238063 hours\)

Since it says round to the nearest thousandth, you would want to write 0.353 as your answer.
