Hi, I need help with a problem involving combinations.

"A catering service can prepare 6 soups, 8 salads, 8 vegetables, and 10 entrees. In how many different ways can you select 1 soup, 3 salads, 4 vegetables and 2 entrees?"

Thanks! :D

These are fairly striaght-forward probelms - your textbook will have multiple examples worked out for you.

Please show us your work, indicating exactly where you are stuck - so that we know where to begin to help you.

I understand that I could make a tree map out of this-but I want to know how to use the nCr formula in this situation.

\(\displaystyle \binom{6}{1}\binom{8}{3}\binom{8}{4}\binom{10}{2}\)
