Kiwi Beer is sold in 950ml cans. The mean volume is 945ml and the standard deviation is 15ml. Assuming a normal distribution what is the probability that more than 945ml will be placed in the can.

My first step was to use the equation X-U/ Standard deviation. Using this I came up with 950-945/15 = .33

What is the next step and why.

Is this the correct question, if so, the size of the can is a red herring. Instead, you get z = (945 - 945) / 15 = 0.00

Either way, whether z = 0 or 0.33, you then want to find P(Z > z), for which you need to look up a table of normal probabilities (or use MS-Excel or a fancy graphing calculator)
