commonwealth edison company supplies electricity to residential customers for a monthly customer charge of $9.99 plus 10.59 cents per kilowatt-hour for up to 400 kilowatt-hour.
a) write an equation that relates the monthly charge c, in dollars to the number x of kilowatt-hours in a month
b) what is the monthly charge for using 100 kilowatt-hours? for using 300 kilowatt-hours?
c) graph this equation in (a) for 0<x< 400
d) interpret the slope
