speeds of 40 cars clocked by radar on a particular road in a 35mph zone on a particular afternoon: 30,36,42,36,30,52,36,34,36,33,30,32,35,32,37,34,36,31,35,20,24,46,23,31,32,45,34,37,28,40,34,38,40,52,31,33,15,27,36,40. Make a (a) frequency table, a (b) histogram, and a (c) frequency pologon.Then (d) describe the general shape of the distribution.


I made the freq table but I am not sure at all on the histogram and freq pologon.....PLEASE can someone help me out

These are standard parameters - where is the trouble?
 
the trouble is that I do not know how to do a histogram or pologon table with these numbers.....

You're using the frequencies to determine the relative lengths of the bars, using the corresponding mph as the label on each, right?



You might find THIS THREAD helpful; toward the end, there's information about histograms. (Histograms are bar charts.)

The polygon thingy is what you get if you replace the end of each bar in the histogram with a point, and then connect the dots. Googling produces MANY REFERENCES.

First, You need to make the frequency table.
