Hey,

I am having trouble with my homework assignment. I don't need someone to do the work for me, just show me algebraically how to do it..
This is my question:

What is the probability of randomly selecting a sample (n=10) from the fish group with a mean that is LESS THAN the mean of the first sample you took from the fish group?

The information I have is:

First mean sample - 8.40
First mean SD-4.51
First mean size- N=10

From the original population:
Mean- 8.32
Standard Deviation- 4.45
Population Size - 50

I had a question similar to this but was given all the numbers needed, so maybe I could be helped out with the algebra?

THANKS!
