Hi, I am not a big poker player so I am unaware of the denominations they speak of in this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

A poker hand consists of five cards from a standard deck of 52. Find the number of different poker hands of three of a kind (three of one denomination, one of another denomination, and one of a third).

Are you familiar with a deck of cards?

There are four of each - kings, queens, jacks, 10's, 9's, 8's, ....3's, 2's and Aces.
 
So it is asking how many outcomes are possible with 5 cards from the following sets?
 
Yes; like 2,2,2,3,4 (2,2,2,4,3 is the same).
The likes of 2,2,2,2,3 and 2,2,2,3,3 do not qualify.
