help with slope of roof.

Use a ruler to estimate the slope of each roof.
side:
a-3/8 in.
b-1 3/4 in.
hypotenuse-1 3/8 in.

Im not sure how to set up the equation though...any help?

The slope of the roof is

rise/run

"rise" is the vertical distance (I don't know if you're calling that "a" or "b")

"run" is the horizontal distance from the edge of the roof to the center.

See if that helps.

If it doesn't, please be more specific about what you mean by "a" and "b"
