You need to use parentheses as grouping symbol. AS written, the first problem is:

\(\displaystyle \frac{5}{x} - 6 + \frac{3}{6} - x\)

I don't think that was the intended problem.

Similarly the second problem needs review and correction.

What you meant, I think, is 5/(x - 6) + 3/(6 - x) = 5/(x - 6) - 3/(x - 6) = 2/(x - 6)

Solve the equation.
5/x = 3/x + 5
2/x = 5
x = 2/5

Again, what you meant, I think, is 5/x = 3/(x + 5).
5(x + 5) = 3x
5x + 25 = 3x
25 = -2x
-25/2 = x
