My problem is
p^2-6/5p+9/25=0

I am really having trouble with this and have no clue where to start.

9/25 is 3/5 multiplied by 3/5
It is also -(3/5) multiplied by -(3/5).

Since (a-b)(a-b) is a[sup:1jzvf0n7]2[/sup:1jzvf0n7]-ab-ab+b[sup:1jzvf0n7]2[/sup:1jzvf0n7]

Also, two values multiply to give zero, what can those values be?
This is the reason for writing factors.

can you try it now?

You do not say - what do you need to do?
