If P(E)= 0.5, P(F)= 0.3 and P(E and F) = 0.15. Are the events E and F mutually exclusive?

No, the two events are not mutually exclusive. If the two events were disjoint we would use the addition rule for disjoint events, giving us P(E or F)=0.8.
