Symbols web page

I want to know how you represent a to the second power and i need to know where to go how you represent other math symbols like say Square root all on in one place on your web site.

for my suggestions

if you want to use special characters, e.g. a²
see character map on any Windows machine.
some common ones:
² alt-253
³ alt 0179
± alt 241
? alt 251 - note lack of vinculum, so use () for readability, e.g. ?(x)
? alt 243
? alt 242
? alt 247
° alt 248
etc.
you might be suprised how fast you learn them

Many useful characters have no keyboard method for entry:
