-3(x^2y^3) (-4xy^4)/2xy^2 =
Assuming: -3(x^2 y^3) (-4x y^4) / (2xy^2 )

Do numerator first: -3(x^2 y^3) (-4x y^4) = 12 x^3 y^7

So you now have: 12 x^3 y^7 / (2 x y^2)
I think you can finish that off (after what Galactus told you!)

Happy new year, PG
