Happy New Year!

Please confirm that the best definition of a relation is a sequence with a common difference between terms.

Thanks for the help!

I can't confirm that, because I don't think it is true. A "relation" has been defined as "a set of ordered pairs" in the books I've taught out of.

You might want to look at definitions of "relation" that are available online, which you can easily find by using Google or your favorite search engine.

I look forward to seeing what other volunteers here have to say about this!

Main Entry: relation
Part of Speech: noun
Definition: connection, family connection
Synonyms: affiliation, affinity, alliance, association, consanguinity, kin, kindred, kinship, kinsperson, liaison, propinquity, relationship, relative, sibling, similarity
