Hello!

So, I have a math problem that I'm sure I know how to do, but I'm having the HARDEST time getting started. I'm sure that I need to use the z-score somewhere but I just dont know where to begin. Here is the problem:

Kari (14) is 60 inches tall and Jacob(13) is 59 inches tall. Kari points out that she is 1 inch taller and Jacob says that if we consider that he is one year younger, he is actually ahead on height. The CDC gives the approximate means and standard deviations for boys and girls of specific ages: 14 yr old girls mean height is 63 inches with a standard deviation of 2.7. 13 year old boys mean height is 61.8 inches with SD of 3.2. My task is to:

1) Explain how the debate can be resolved using statistics
2) Statistically determine who wins the argument....

help to get me started plllzzzzz
