I am having problems wiht linear equstions. Can anyone help me solve the following problems?

(-7,-8) and (-2,-6) The equation of the line in slope intersect is?



If you have a tree that is 7 feet tall and produces 24 pounds of fruit and a tree that is 12 feet tall and produces 48 pounds of fruit, find the form of an equation of the line through the 2 ordered pairs. And give the predicted amount of fruit from a tree that is 18 feet tall and 20 feet tall . How tall would a tree be that produces 88 pounds of fruit?

The correct name is Slope-Intercept form. Have you seen it?

y = mx + b

tkhunny showed you how to find the slope m (it's the difference of the y-coordinates divided by the difference of the x-coordinates).

Please show us what you get for m.

Let the height of the trees be the x-coordinate.

Let the pounds of fruit be the corresponding y-coordinate.

Can you show us the two ordered pairs in this exercise?

If so, find the slope.
