Here is a question that I came across and I answered it, but I’m not sure about it.

Three drugs are selected at random, and each is categorized as having an enatiomer (E) available on the market, or not(N). Possible outcomes are therefore EEE,EEN, and so on.If X is the number of drugs among the 3 with enantiomers, list each outcome in X and its associated X value.


My answer is:
The possible outcomes from this sample is:
EEE, ENE, ENN, NNN,NEN, NEE,NNE,EEN
So, X denote to the number of drugs among the three with enantiomer
The outcome list is
EEE, ENE, ENN, NEN, NEE,NNE,EEN
We have 12 Es from above outcome
EEE =3/23
ENE= 2/12
ENN=1/12
NEN=1/12
NEE=2/12
NNE=1/12
EEN=1/12
Am I right?!!

This question is so badly stated, that it is meaningless.
If you want to know the number of rows possible in a table of E&N then that is \(\displaystyle 2^2=4\).
\(\displaystyle \begin{array}{*{20}c} E & E \\ E & N \\ N & E \\ N & N \\\end{array}\)
