We learned this yesterday, but I'm terrible at math and confused. I have a trip today, where I'll be coming home super late, so I'm not sure if I'll understand this. Can anyone explain, just in case? I don't want the answers, just an understandable explanation. :)

One problem per thread - please....

It is not useful to ask for help with a bucketful of problems. Nobody has time to tackle those - if you do not have time to post those one at a time.

For any homework with which you want assistance, you have to show your effort...

Please share your work with us indicating exactly where you are stuck - so that we may know where to begin to help you.
