Tree diagram

Need help with a tree diagram. Here is the problem:

The track meet has two groups of racers in the 100m dash. The winner of each of the races will go on to the championship race. Shown are the contestants in each of the races.

Race 1: Chris, Ted, Peter Race 3: Karl, Bill, Mike

Make a tree diagram to show the possibilities of who will make it to the final race.


I know this can't be as hard as I'm making it. But, need help please! Thanks, Kris

Please Help!

So I guess I should assume it should read race 2 instead of race 3, but, call me dumb, but I don't know how to start the diagram. This is for my son and we need to know how to get it started. Please help!
