The problem that I am having a lot of trouble with is A and B are independent events, and P(A)=0.6 and P(A and B)= 0.3. Find P(B). I know you are supposed to set this problem up by using this equation P(A and B) P(A)P(B). I put in the numbers but I dont know where to go from there.

Where is the
e͘quation?

I think its supposed to be solved by using this formula P( A and B)= P(A)P(B) solve for P(B).

Why think - why not know?

Now please show us - how you have tried to use the e͘quation.
