P(E) + P(F) = 7/8
P compliment (E intersection F) = 1/4
Find: P (E intersection F)

I Know the answer is 1/8 but how do you come to that conclusion?????

You have posted 5 problems, without showing one line of work.

Please share your work with us.

We can help - we only help after you have shown your work - or ask a specific question (e.g. "are these correct?")

That is why I am posting... I dont know how to do the work to get to the answer.

We need the question clarified - which is best done by you showing your work. The numbers you give don't make sense - in particular, I read the 2nd statement to say the area not in the intersection is 1/4, but that doesn't work. It WOULD work out okay if the complement of the UNION was 1/4.

Are you supposed to solve using theorems, or are you supposed to draw a picture of two overlapping circles in a box?
