a certain mountain has elevation of 19214 in 1913 the glacier on the peak covered 10 acres and by 2004 the glacier melted to only 1 acre.
1) what is the yearly rate of change
2)use the answer to write a linear equation that gives the acreage A of this glacier t year past 1913

"Yearly rate of change" implies an annual percentage change. But "a linear equation" requires that the amount of change be a fixed value, rather than a percentage of the previous year's amount.

In other words, as written, this exercise does not appear to make (mathematical) sense.
