Test scores are normally distributed with mean 100 and standard deviation 16, what is the test score for the 98th percentile?

"98th percentile" means the point such that 98% of the distribution is below and 2% above the point.
 
Exactly right. Of course you got that "2.05" from a table of the standard Normal distribution. N(2.05)= 0.98.
