Interactions in multiple linear regression

Hi, I am using multiple linear regression. There are 2 independent variables (Variable A: is continuous data; Variable B: is categorical with 2 categories [0,1]). I have entered both as independent variables into the model, and also need to include their interaction. To do this, is it literally creating another variable which is Variable A*Variable B, and entering it into the model also? Or is this too simplistic! Many thanks in advance!
