I need help! I have read the text, I've watched youtube videos until my eyes have crossed, I've googled and googled and I just don't understand this.

Using the 68-95-99.7 rule, given the average test score of 83 and a Standard Deviation of 10, What is the range of scores in the 68 percentile?

63 - 103

46 - 66

53 - 113

73 - 93

TIA!

What does the 68, 95, and 99.7 rules say?

As a hint, the 95 rule says that in a normal distribution 95% of the values lie within 2 standard deviations of the mean. For your problem two standard deviations would be 20, so 95% of the scores would lie within about 20 of 83 or about in the interval 63-103 assuming a (at least near) normal distribution of the scores.
