I have just completed a whole sheet of these and I'm on the last 3 which are the hardest and I don't know what to do with them.
Here they are:

1) x2+2y=9
y=3x+1

2) x2+4y=17
x-y=1

3) x2+y2=13
2x-y=1

Please help me!

I have just completed a whole sheet of these and I'm on the last 3 which are the hardest and I don't know what to do with them.
Here they are:

1) x2+2y=9.............................(1)
y=3x+1 .............................(2)

Replace 'y' in (1) using (2). Then solve the quadratic equation

2) x2+4y=17
x-y=1 → y = x-1 and follow the steps in the problem above

3) x2+y2=13
2x-y=1 → y = 2x-1 and follow the steps in the problem above

Please help me!
