This exercise is to two-part question:

Part 1: You have a coupon for $50 off your next camera purchase of $100 dollars or more at a camera store. Write a function relating to a camera's purchase price, y, after applying the coupon to the retail price, x. Give the domain of this function.

Part 2: An online retailer currently offers a 40% discount on cameras. Write a function relating a camera's purchase price, y, to the retail price, x. Give the domain of this function.

Hi there.

If I use the coupon to buy a $100 camera, I pay only 100-50 for the camera.

If I use the coupon to buy a $144 camera, I pay only 144-50.

Similarly, a $198 camera costs only 198-50.

A $243 camera costs only 243-50.

A $577 camera costs only 577-50.

Using the coupon, what would one pay for a camera priced at x dollars?

Also, have you learned the meaning of the word 'domain' ?

Also also, do you know how to write 40% of x ?

Cheers
