I need to create error bars for my data. My data consists of two repeats which I need to average, and normalize to the control.
Should I average or normalise first? The reason I at current have averaged first is I need a single value of the control to normalise to. This means I am calculating the error bars on data that has not been normalised, before presenting them in a graph where the data is normalised.. making them appear huge. Am I doing this correctly?
