There is a female cow in Wales, who belongs to a Welsh farmer who is wanting of no worldly pleasures which exist under the sun. No matter who is the father, every 3 of 5 calves born to this mother-cow will be born with horns of diamond (the other 2 of the 5 will be born with ordinary, bone, horns.)

There is a different, male, cow in Bulgaria who belongs to a Bulgarian farmer who is, also, neither wanting of any worldly pleasures which exist under the sun. No matter who is the mother, every 1 of 5 calves born to this father-cow will be born with horns of diamond (the other 4 of the 5 will be born with ordinary, bone, horns.)

The two rich farmers meet one day at a French market. They agree that there might be a way to increase their worldly fortunes even more. Perhaps, they say to themselves, if they were to breed the Welsh mother-cow with the Bulgarian father-cow, they would produce, in their union, calves with horns of diamond at a rate even greater than 3 in 5.

For every 5 calves born to the Welsh-Bulgarian cow-couple, how many are likely to be born with horns of diamond?

These calves will be dead calves (no horns).
