hi!

I'm measuring the speed of a fragment flying out of a warhead and hit a steel plate.

I know the exact distance (X) between the warhead and the plate.

The error comes from the camera- the time of flight is known only with it's accuracy (20000 fps).

I know the fragment started to fly only when there's light of explosion (meaning- the real T0 can be before that point, just after the end of the previos frame, so delta t is bigger), and i know it reached the plate only when i see the light of penatration (meaning- Thit may have hit before, just after the end of the previos frame, so delta t is smaller).

how can i calculted the error in my measurment?

the probality of the real events (T0 and Thit) during the frame duration is uniform, but the probality to get both the ealiest T0 and the latest Thit (or the opposite) is smaller than other opptions.

In a matter of fact, i belive V is normaly distibuted.

what i want do to is to know the Confidence interval for that V, with confindence of (1-alpha)%. I dont know how to do this.

thanks for the help!
