[FONT=&quot]A lottery ticket contains six different numbers, chosen from 1 to 39. The winning ticket will match all six numbers in the correct order, plus a bonus number, which may match the other six numbers. The second prize matches the six winning numbers in the correct order, but not the bonus number. What is the probability of winning first or second prize?

What is the range on the "bonus" number? Is it also chosen from between 1 and 39? Or some other range?

When you reply, please include a clear listing of your thoughts and efforts so far (especially on the probabilities for the second prize, which is easier), so we can see where you're getting stuck. Thank you! ;)
