Okay, my problem is a bit complicated- I apologize. But, please help me with it as I'm completely lost ;-;
Here it is:
Players are dealt four cards from a standard deck of 52. Find the odds against each event.
a. All four cards are red.
b. The four cards have consecutive denominations.
c. All four have the same denomination.
d. Two or three of the four have the same denomination.
e. All four cards are spades.
Based on your calculated odds, assign a payout to each winning combination, then calculate the expected value of a $1 bet on the game. If necessary, adjust your payouts to make the expected value between -$0.20 and -$0.30.
I found out that each card suit individually has 21970 combinations but that's as far as I've gotten. I've also learned that it has 270725 possible combinations in total. I just need to know what a-e are as well as what the answer for the last bit would be. Please help me!
