We are a rural non-profit community organization that plays pool every Thursday evening. We have no interest in joining a ‘sanctioned’ league and funds do not allow us to utilize the on-line systems for team statistics. Doing what we can with what we have got.

Here is a quick look at what we are trying to do…

Players play a 9-ball match, set of games. Each pocketed ball (1 thru 8) is worth 1 point, with the 9 ball being worth 2 points.

Players have a skill level (S/L) ranging from 0 thru 10, in .25 increments. [6.00 6.25 6.50 etc]

The assigned S/L has a number of required points(R/P) assigned to it that a player must reach to win the match. The number of games determined by how long it takes a player to achieve the required number of points for his/her skill level.

S/L 6.00 = 29 points S/L 7.25 = 35 points S/L 9.50 = 45 points

Each S/L has assigned to it a static average number of innings (A/I) [turns at the pool table].

S/L 6.00 = 4.46214 S/L 7.25 = 3.15653 S/L 9.5 = 1.50900

Complete list of S/L – R/P – A/I is contained as a reference within the spreadsheet.

Tracking of number of games, total innings, wins, loses and defensive shots (D-SHOT) is documented by team-mates during each match. This data will be later entered into the statistics spreadsheet .

This data (mostly the S/L) is calculated for the current(tonight’s) match, as well as being applied to the player’s S/L rating for the current season… and applied against his/her lifetime S/L rating. (Lifetime rating can vary from 0 to 10 years of data) The weight of one night’s data is less with an increased number of matches in the current season, and the greater amount of data within the lifetime for that player, respectively.

For anyone interested, I can supply scenarios and a copy of the pool league stats spreadsheet that has been created so far.

I'm working on a programming project, in this project I'm receiving an angle as a quaternion value, I partially understand how they work but I don't find any math to get the values I need.

What I would need is the angle between a fictional line/vector going to the the quaternion point from the origin (yes I know what you are thinking, but I couldn't think of a better explanation) and the "earth" a plane that is perpendicular to the gravitational vector, in this case one of your planes of reference.

Also I would need to get the rotation of the line/vector, this time the rotation should be according to the plane perpendicular to itself.

If possible all angles should be described as an angle between -180° and 180° (that's were my troubles are from.

If someone could help me by this it would be awesome

I know some people have satellite tv service in their homes. Their satellite dish has to be aimed perfectly for them to get reception on their television.

I personally have satellite radio in my car. Naturally my car is in motion most of the time I am listening to my radio.

My question is why does my satellite radio antenna not have to be aimed in an exact way as the satellite tv dish antennas have to? ]]>

Solution 1:

Loop over numbers in array

match each number with K, increment the count if match.

Time complexity: O(n)

Sort numbers O(nlogn)

Find first and last index of k using binary search 2*logn = O(logn)

Count= last index - first index + 1

Time complexity: O(nlogn)

Here, Without sort approach is always best.

Solution 2:

1. traverse whole array and increase count from 0 to +1 every time we encounter the element

so running time will be O(n) for traversal and comparision and O(1) for count increase so finally we have running time of O(n)

2. faster approach:

first sort the array afterwords we can use binary search method to count the occurrences and its running time complexity will be O(log(n))

Which solution would be better from the two?

Can one give examples to:

(1) paradox that is true position that look as false position.

(2) paradox that is false position that look as true position.

(3) Is there an example to paradox that now by discoveries isn't paradox?

(4) How paradox are create? Is there a way or algorithm to create a paradox?

It was tying to equate complex number summation. It looks easy, but took me a while to solve it . would you help me please? It is as follows:

I want to express Zm and ZL in terms of Z1 and Z2 by rearranging. Let it be (Zm*ZL)/ (Zm + ZL) = (Z1 -Z2)/ (Z1*Z2). I need in such a way.

I think I have done this correct. I am unsure about the third shape (the mini square/the one cut out) and whether I have done the centre of gravity x value and y value correct for it.
