I need to find the Integral of Sqrt(x^2+2x)dx. It is a Integration by Partial Fractions exercise.
I don't even know where to start. Any help on where to start would be greatly appreciated.
If this helps, the solution given by the book is:
(1/2)[(x+1)Sqrt(x^2+2x)-ln|x+1+Sqrt(x^2+2x)|]+c
I need help on a Newton's Method problem. I have to "Use Newton's method to approximate the given number correct to eight decimal places".
The number is the hundredth root of 100 (100^(1/100)). When done on calculator, the result is 1.04712855. I've tried the approximation but am not able to...
I have a Calculus project. I have to find the following limit without using L'Hospital:
Limit as x approaches a (x->a) of (cos(x)-cos(a))/(x-a)
The result is -sin(a)
Thanks in advance.
