Cartesian to Polar conversion matrix

I know how to convert cartesian co-ordinates to polar, but how would I create a matrix to convert a matrix of three cartesian co-ordinates to a matrix of three polar co-ordinates?


Any pointers would be much appreciated

Very good question, but your question doesn't quite make sense. "Polar Coordinates" implies 2-dimensional structure. It can be PART of a 3D structure.

Look up "Cylindrical Coordinates" and "Spherical Coordinates". Show us your first attempts at this extension to 3 Space. It will be fun!!
