Using the PMT function: Buying a car, and holding it for 8 years, costs 100/year

Hi,

I refer to the Excel PMT function, and compare between to scenarios. Say:

1. Buying a car, and holding it for 8 years, costs 100/year (using PMT).

2. Buying a car, and holding it for 3 years, costs 300/year (using PMT).

Do I have enough data to calculate the cost of switching from scenario 1 to scenario 2? Basically 200/year for each year?

It may sound trivial but I am really not sure..

Your attached image is difficult to read, when enlarged. Here are some tips, to get better results.

1) Use a higher resolution, if possible, when creating the image

2) Crop images, before uploading, to prevent the forum software from reducing images to display everything (it doesn't know some large areas are blank)

3) Post two or three smaller images, instead of stuffing everything into one big image

4) Use the Preview Post button, before submitting your post, in order to see how your image(s) will render
