Hi, I have the following data in a five stage system.
A = 5% chance of going directly to Stage E.
B = 13% chance of going directly to Stage E.
C = 45% chance of going directly to Stage E.
D = 81 % chance of going directly to Stage E.
E = final stage

Questions:
What is the probability stage A will move to stage B?
What is the probability stage B will move to stage C?

Ask: Is there a formula I can use to standardize the above questions?

thank-you

With only the information provided, I don't think this question is answerable. For instance, what if Stage A never goes to Stage B? Maybe it can only go to Stages C (95% of the time) and E (the other 5% of the time)? What if Stage B only ever goes to D and E? And so forth.

Have you posted all of the information for this exercise? Thank you! ;)
