I am have issue with this formula.

I notice, in the formula for K, one of the factors is (1 + D/3H).

According to Order of Operations, this typing means:

\(\displaystyle 1 + \dfrac{D}{3} \cdot H\)

However, if the typist is not familiar with proper notation for typing ratios, it's possible that the intent is:

\(\displaystyle 1 + \dfrac{D}{3H}\)

If this is the correct meaning, then they ought to have typed grouping symbols around the denominator:

(1 + D/[3H])


There also seems to be typos at the bottom, where they state that the overall width and height of the vane are measured to a tenth of a millimeter. It's not necessary to state that the measurements 0.1mm are reported "in mm" because the units are already given with each measurement. :cool:
