Hi guys need help with these question..

1. Find all real numbers for which 7x-2/2>4x+3/4
2. For what values of x is 3x-1/4<2x+5/3
3. Write an equation of the line through (-2,3) and (1,4).

Thank you!

Hi guys need help with these question

What help are you needing, specifically?

1. Find all real numbers for which 7x-2/2>4x+3/4
As posted, the inequality is as follows:

. . . . .\(\displaystyle 7x\, -\, \dfrac{2}{2}\, >\, 4x\, +\, \dfrac{3}{4}\)

Was this what you meant?

2. For what values of x is 3x-1/4<2x+5/3
As posted, the inequality is as follows:

. . . . .\(\displaystyle 3x\, -\, \dfrac{1}{4}\, <\, 2x\, +\, \dfrac{5}{3}\)

Was this what you meant?

For each of these inequalities, please reply showing how far you have gotten in the solution process (here), so we can see where you're getting stuck.

3. Write an equation of the line through (-2,3) and (1,4).
The first step would probably be to plug these two points into the "slope" formula. (here) What value did you get?

Please show all of your steps. Thank you! ;)

When we type algebraic fractions with a keyboard, we must type grouping symbols around numerators and/or denominators containing more than a single number.

For example, if we follow the Order of Operations, then 4x+3/4 means adding the number 3/4 to the number 4x.

If the numerators in exercise (1) are supposed to be 7x-2 and 4x+3, then the proper way to type them is like this:

(7x - 2)/2 > (4x + 3)/4

Is this the inequality that you're trying to solve? Please clarify the first two exercises.

3. Write an equation of the line through (-2, 3) and (1, 4).
You began by finding the slope of the line through those two points, yes?

Please show your work on that part.

PS: The forum guidelines request that you start separate threads for separate exercises. Thanks
