Hello and thanks for your help!
I have two questions that I need help to start. If you point me in the right direction that would be wonderful.

Okay, so first one:
If X ~ N(8, 1.5) find:
a) P(X<11)
b) P(8<X<10)

My guess is to multiple 1.5 by the numbers below 11 (for a) and then add the values, and between 8 and 10 (for b).

Second one:
The digestion rate of people was studied and normal meals were found to have a mean digestion time of 9.4 hrs with a standard deviation of 2.1 hrs. What proportion of people can be expected to digest a normal meal in 8 hours or less?

I have no idea with this one...

Anyway, any and all help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

A "Z-Score" would be helpful. If you don't know what that is, then you will need to acquire that information.

Please show your work. If you truly have no idea, something is seriously wrong with your class or your teacher. You should be given sufficient background to solve problems on assignments.
