Hi folks, i'm not from math field, but i have a question,

1- If in 10 times of event A will occur 2 times event B inside A

2- i know that the chance of event B to occur in sequence is 9, right?

x x | | | | | | | | 1

| x x | | | | | | | 2

| | x x | | | | | | 3

| | | x x | | | | | 4

| | | | x x | | | | 5

| | | | | x x | | | 6

| | | | | | x x | | 7

| | | | | | | x x | 8

| | | | | | | | x x 9

3- Then i question, how can i calculate how many times can event B occur NOT in sequence? and how to calculate it?

for example

| x | x | | | | | |

thanks a lot for any help

1- If in 10 times of event A will occur 2 times event B inside A
This is not a complete sentence. You've got an "if" but not a "then".

2- i know that the chance of event B to occur in sequence is 9, right?
What do you mean, precisely, by "in sequence"? How do you know about the behavior of Event B? What do you mean by the "chance is 9"?

x x | | | | | | | | 1

| x x | | | | | | | 2

| | x x | | | | | | 3

| | | x x | | | | | 4

| | | | x x | | | | 5

| | | | | x x | | | 6

| | | | | | x x | | 7

| | | | | | | x x | 8

| | | | | | | | x x 9
What do these lines, x's, and numbers indicate? Is there any particular significance to the x's always being side-by-side?

3- Then i question, how can i calculate how many times can event B occur NOT in sequence? and how to calculate it?

for example

| x | x | | | | | |
Does the above indicate that, by "in sequence", you mean "consecutively" (that is, one right after the other)?

When you reply, please provide the full and exact text of the exercise, the complete instructions, and a clear listing of your efforts so far, including any theorems, algorithms, or other information from your class and textbook which you think is likely to be necessary for answering this question. Thank you! ;)
