:confused:basically i have the option of a box of choc bars that contains 36 bars weighing 48.4 grams each, for 18 pounds
or the equivalent in another shop is 9 X 4pack (36 BARS) of chocs that weighs 128grams or (32gramseach) for 1 pound a packet, so i am trying to work out which is cheapest ....

I will assume, since weight is given in grams, that "pounds" is the unit of currency. I will guess, by "which is cheapest", you mean "which has the lower per-unit cost". I will guess that you are using "pack" and "packet" to mean the same thing.

What is the total weight of chocolate in option (A)? (Hint: Multiply.)

What is the total cost of chocolate in option (A)?

What then is the per-gram cost in option (A)? (Hint: Divide.)

What is the total weight of chocolate in option (B)? (Hint: Multiply.)

What is the total cost of chocolate in option (B)? (Hint: Multiply.)

What then is the per-gram cost in option (B)? (Hint: Divide.)
