How to represent as DE ?

I have a homework but despite all my efforts, I could not. I need help about it. I do not expect exact solution but if you help me I would like to solve and get verification from you.

About the question : I have to get differential equation from this :

And values for question right here :

M1 = 500KG
M2 = 450KG

m1(t) = 150KG
m2(t) = 120KG

k1 = 20 , b1 = 20

k2 = 10 , b2 = 15


Please help, how to obtain a differential equation from this question ?

What do you about the PHYSICS of the tip pont control? Are you supposed to use work-energy method to establish the equation of motion? You must have a similar problem as an example problem in your text-book (or in your class-notes).

It is first example unfortunately. It looks like spring piston and mass, but still I could not get differantial equation. We should think as follows :
