A ship has a centrally mounted turbine engine, with its axis of rotation aligned along the length of the ship from stern to bow (rear to front).

When viewed from the stern the turbine rotates clockwise with a rotational velocity of 4500 RPM. The rotating elements of the engine have a mass of 1000kg and an effective radius of gyration of 0.9m.

The ship makes a turn to port (left when viewed from the stern), following a circular path of diameter 500m with a velocity of 1.25 m/s.

Determine the magnitude and direction of the gyroscopic couple produced, explaining, with the aid of a diagram, how this would affect the motion of the ship (not to worried about the diagram il be able to do this bit)

Ive been able to work out the figures such as the rpm, the radius of gyration, and the velocity but its what to do with this info now i have got it
