What have you tried? Where are you stuck?

Please reply with a clear listing of your thoughts and efforts. When you reply, please clarify whether "cos 8 theta" means "\(\displaystyle \cos(8\theta )\)" or "\(\displaystyle \cos^8(\theta )\)". Thank you! ;)
