Answer the following with well-detailed diagrams.

1. A vertical aerial stands on horizontal ground. A surveyor positioned due east of the aerial measures the angle of elevation to the top of the aerial as 48°. He moves due south 30 meters and measures the angle of elevation of the top as being 44°. Determine the height of the aerial, accurate to two decimal places.

2. A ship leaves Takoradi Harbour at 10AM one morning. The captain steers a course bearing 136°, at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour (kph) through the water. There is a current of 5 kph through the water, moving in a direction of 046°. Find (a) the direction in which the boat travels, and (b) the boat's distance from Takoradi Harbour at 1PM.

3. An aircraft travels at 250 kph in still hair. (a) If a wind of 50 kph blows steadily from the southwest, and if the pilot wishes to fly due north, find the course that the pilot must set, and the ground speed of the aircraft. (b) On the return journey, the windspeed and direction are unaltered. Find the new course and ground speed.
