What sort of help would you like. You must start somewhere.

You want to convert dollars to time. Your conversion factor is $200/(2.5min) or 2.5min/$200. In this problem both of those fractions equal 1. Make sure that you see that!

So to change $500,000 you multiply it by 1 so the value does not change, but the units will change!!!

$500,000 = $500,000 * 1 = $500,00 * 2.5min/$200. Do this multiplication and you're done. If you do not want to have the units in minutes, then multiply your result by 1 using 1hr/60minutes and your answer will be in hours. You want your answer in days, then multiply by 1, using 1day/24hrs as your 1. How do you thing you convert this answer to years?

An hour is 60 minutes. There are 60/5= 12 5 minute intervals in an hour so 24 2.5 minute intervals in an hour. At "$2.00 every 2 and 1/2 minutes", you would be earning 24($2.00)= $48.00 per hour. 48 divides into 500000 10,416 and 2/3 times so it would take 10,416 hours and 40 minutes. Working a 40 hour work week, that would be 260 weeks and 2 days. Counting 50 works weeks per hour (with a two week vacation), that would be 5 years 10 weeks, 2 days, and 40 minutes.
