Hi! So, I've been struggle with converting polar equations to rectangular form and this is the problem I need help with: r=2-cos(theta). We were given the correct answer: 0=(x^4)+(2x^3)-(3x^2)+(2x^2)(y^2)+(xy)-(4y^2)+(y^4), but I have no idea how to get there. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
This is how far I got, but I don't even know if I started the problem correctly so...
